Rachel the Poetess Figurine

This 3D action figure is a miniature replica of Rachel the Poetess (Rachel Blubstein) (1890-1931) - Zionist pioneer and one of the most prominent poets in modern Hebrew poetry. Born in Russia. At the age of 15 she began writing poems in Russian and approached Zionism. After graduating she moved with her sister to Kiev to study art, and in 1909 the two decided to immigrate to Israel. They first settled in Rehovot and in 1911 Rachel moved to Kinneret Farm. In 1913 she traveled to France to study agronomy. After graduating she returned to Russia for a family visit, and as her health deteriorated she returned to Israel and joined Kibbutz Degania (1919). When diagnosed with tuberculosis she was forced to leave Degania. Most of her poems were written in the last six years of her life, these were published in "Davar" newspaper and brought her many fans. Some consider Rachel as the first Hebrew female poet, and her poetry has become an inalienable asset of the Hebrew culture.
